once upon a time, in yonder days of yore,
on a rather cold and windy day* (19 october 2008 to be more exact) the members of the ancient and venerable secret re-enactment society gathered together to re-enact (duh!) what is beyond doubt the greatest music video of all times**.
tormented by a biting gale (and, in one particular case, a hang-over) they nevertheless dutifully performed the task they had set out to do, with the ensuing video (filmed, directed and edited by anonymous#1 (we are dealing with a secret society after all)) as their reward.
most of this was shot on location at hvalfjörður in south-west iceland, some additional scenes were done at hali near jökulsárlón on the south-coast (because even ancient and venerable secret societies cheat from time to time) and, needless to say, no monkeys were harmed or hurt during the shoot.
and now, without further ado, we present you with the (frozen) viðrar re-enactment:

*note: all is relative of course, in most countries the conditions the society was confronted with would have been considered reason enough to cause a fatal breakdown of civilisation, however we are talking about iceland here where this was considered good weather for re-enactments...
